February 2012.

Been busy enough so far this year having done a couple of short films.  Frst one was called Cowboys and Dissidents, and was directed by Will Maloney, who, bafflingly, has decided to give up life in sunny Los Angeles and join us in rain-sodden Belfast.  His first short was a lovely piece of work called '2p' so i was only too happy to do a bit of work with him.

Also did a short called 'Two Dogs Caged' for a mate  of mine called Jonny Waite.  I've known Jonny for years as  he's worked in the sound department on a few gigs i've been on, so it was great to see a young film maker grab the bull by the horns and go out and make his own thing.  Looking forward to seeing the end result.

You may notice a picture above these paragraphs.  That would  be the promotional image and poster for Saving the Titanic, a television film i was involved in last year.  And you may have noticed that yours truly has made it on to the poster!  Although it's not the most flattering shot of my boat race - i think that's what we'll call my 'action face' from now on.  Maybe.  This production hits screens in Ireland, Germany and some other exotic shores this April to coincide with the ships sinking 100 years ago.  Catch it on Rte, PBS, History Channel, and some other channels in europe i've never heard of.

On the writing front, my play Guidelines for a Long and Happy Life seemed to go down very well, and every show during the Belfast Festival was a sell-out.  So that was pretty cool.  And i've just been commissioned to write a little piece of pub theatre to entertain punters in Belfast on St Paddys day this year, so if you're out and about drowning your shamrock in the city - keep 'em peeled.

Happy New Year. X.
